If you were to stop all of your lead generations right now and not do anything to pursue business… would you still get calls? If the answer is no, then you are chasing (nothing wrong with that… but let’s call a spade a spade).
If your answer is yes, then you’re being chased. If you stopped all your lead generations right now, and people would still reach out to you a week, a month, a year from now… then you’re being chased.
Now I share an extreme because it illustrates the point. I would NEVER ask you to stop lead-generating. So having said that, let’s take some steps to get home buyers and home sellers to chase us.
1 – Produce more than you consume:
Get active on social media! Social media is a great way to interact with leads in a very natural way and build relationships. Share valuable, educational, and entertaining content. Even if you mainly find users through in-person connections and manual outreach, it’s still essential for prospective contacts to find you online. The best way to start generating leads is by focusing on just one or two social media platforms. Instead of trying to build a distinct audience on all of them.
2 – Produce evergreen content:
Get inspired by some creative ideas and examples of timeless content. Produce content that generates traffic and subscriptions long after posting, or keep your evergreen content fresh to continue building your audience. Get even more out of your evergreen content with slight reuse.
3 – Answer problems relevant today
Answer questions from consumers on your social media accounts. For example, go live on Facebook to explain common home buying or selling doubts and answer questions posted in the comments or social media stories.
4 – Be easily found
Invest your time creating advertising about your business through social media ads. The great thing about social media ads is that you can put a small budget behind them and still see solid returns. Consider running a couple of ads on Facebook and Instagram, targeting specific demographics in your audience.
5 – Give them a reason to reach out
Build credibility through your social media. For example, you can use webinars or live streams to share valuable information, such as posts like “How to do list” or guides “Top ten strategies for…” that make them engage better with you. Establish authority in your specialty through your shared content.
